  • About Kathakwa AA | Kenya

The Kathakwa washing station is a park of the Kibugu farmers co-operative located near the village of Kibugu on the slopes of Mount Kenya. Smallholder farmers deliver their cherry to the washing station for processing. The coffee is pulped, fermented, and graded in channels to separate out the dense, better-quality coffee before drying on raised tables. This African style of processing contributes to the unique flavours found in Kenya coffees.

We love the bright, distinctive tasting notes that include blackcurrant, rhubarb and brown sugar.
